Charles McPherson, one of the world’s most influential jazz saxophonists, will perform November 14th at SDSU’s Main Stage. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear a program featuring both McPherson’s compositions and arrangements from the classic album Charlie Parker with Strings. There’s no jazz luminary whose own style more deeply honors and advances the spirit and groove of bebop more than that of McPherson. The concert will feature McPherson in various student jazz and chamber ensembles, bringing many of San Diego’s young classical and jazz talents together to pay tribute to the music of Charles McPherson and Charlie Parker.
