Song of Songs – CHARLES MCPHERSON

Eight tunes were written for Jazz Quintet and voice. Inspired by the Biblical story “Song of Songs”, a collection of ancient Hebrew love poems that celebrates the beauty and power of God’s gift of love and sexual desire. McPherson’s programmatic writing at it’s finest is represented in this music. Look out for a release of all the music from McPherson’s SDB commissions in Spring of 2020.
